A guided small-group fly-fishing outing for kids ages 8–12 from Silver Creek Outfitters in Ketchum. Includes transportation, drinks and snacks, flies, and use of a fly rod and reel (or bring your own). A hands-on introduction to fly fishing on local waters with experienced certified casting instructors.

Blaine County nonprofit building an inclusive community of fly anglers through education, outings, and conservation. Its youth program, Reel Kids: School of Trout (Emergers 101), runs two summer day camps for ages 9–13, held at Silver Creek Preserve Visitors Center and Lions Park in the Hailey area. Membership-based with scholarships available for families with financial need.

Reel Kids: School of Trout: Emergers 101 (Ages 9–13)
Beginner youth fly-fishing day camp from 5B Anglers. Nine hours of guided instruction over three days covering casting, fish identification, entomology, water safety, and fish anatomy. Each camper takes home a rod, reel, fly box, tools lanyard, curriculum notebook, water bottle, and bag. Limited to 12 campers per session.
When: Two 2026 sessions, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM daily: Session 1 June 17–19, Session 2 June 24–26. Day 1 at Silver Creek Preserve Visitors Center; Days 2–3 at Lions Park (Hailey area). Registration opened March 15, 2026 (closes March 31 or when full); application includes a 1-minute video from the camper.

More advanced camps are available for avid young fishers (held by arrangement with a minimum of three participants).
