Classes & programs

Pointe
Pointe work for ballet students who have the strength, technique and readiness for it, by instructor approval only; staff recommend each dancer individually based on readiness rather than age. Pointe is part of Ovation's ballet program, which meets once or twice a week and expects regular practice in and outside class for safe progression. Dancers wear a leotard, ballet tights and hair in a bun, and pointe shoes are required only for dancers approved for pointe. Any discomfort or pain en pointe should be reported to the instructor right away so technique and shoe fit can be checked.

Pre-Pointe (Ages 9-12)
Pre-Pointe + Strength is one of Grace Dance Academy's optional specialty classes, for dancers ages 9 to 12 who are working toward pointe. It meets at the same hour as the studio's Pointe class for older dancers. Dress code: a leotard in any color, pink convertible tights, ballet shoes and a tight ballet bun.
When: Tuesdays, 5:30 to 6:30 PM, in Studio A, for the 2026-2027 dance year.
