A local league in which Project 208 FC coaches draft girls from U8 to U12 onto mixed-age teams that play weekly matchups in the Wood River Valley in fall and spring. Older players mentor younger ones by bringing them into key plays and modelling good sportsmanship, and younger players get a first taste of competitive soccer. Games are a social occasion for families on the sidelines.
Girls Competitive Soccer Teams (U9 to High School): Project 208 FC
Project 208 FC's age-group teams for girls from U9 through high school. Teams practice in the Wood River Valley and play in the Idaho Youth Soccer Association D3 league in fall and spring, with games usually at the Simplot Sports Complex in Boise on about four Saturdays each season, plus travel tournaments. A Pre-Comp group lets players around age 7 train with the U9 team and occasionally join a game. Practice schedules are set per age group by the coaches before each season.
