Ballet - Cottage Dance
Offered by Cottage Dance Academy →Ballet runs in six levels, from Ballet 1, which teaches the beginnings of ballet, up to Ballet 6, with combined Ballet 3/4 and 5/6 classes. Placement in Ballet 3 and above needs the studio's approval. Dancers wear a color class dress and ballet slippers bought through the studio. Every level performs in the May recital, and most levels may also dance in Twin Falls Ballet Company's winter production of The Nutcracker.

Classes meet weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, depending on level, in the afternoon and evening. Most levels run one hour; Ballet 5/6 and Ballet 6 run 75 minutes. The season starts the Tuesday after Labor Day and ends with the May recital.
Cost
Tuition is not listed online; contact the studio. Ballet 1, 2, 3/4 and 5/6 carry an $80 fee for Nutcracker participation and performance tights.

- Drop-in: No
Families who register commit to the class or team through the May recital, paying fees in monthly installments, and parents are expected to make sure dancers attend all required classes. The studio policies do not address make-ups for missed classes.

Creative Movement (Ages 3-5) - Cottage Dance
For this age group the studio runs Prima Pre-K, a beginner class for Pre-K dancers that teaches beginning ballet, beginning jazz and beginning tumbling. Dancers need ballet slippers bought through the studio. The class performs in the May recital and may also take part in Twin Falls Ballet Company's winter production of The Nutcracker.
Jazz / Lyrical / Contemporary - Cottage Dance
The studio does not run a standalone jazz, lyrical or contemporary class this season. Petites teaches lyrical and jazz, needs ballet slippers and foot turners bought through the studio, and performs in the May recital. Multi Genre 1 (beginner friendly) and Multi Genre 2 (intermediate to advanced) bring in a different teacher and style each month, with new combinations every week and time for improv: contemporary in September, lyrical in October and jazz funk in December.
Pointe - Cottage Dance
Pointe is taught in two levels. Pointe 1 builds the strength and flexibility needed to dance on pointe and helps dancers earn their pointe shoes; placement needs the studio's approval. Pointe 2 is for dancers who are fully on pointe and works on strength, flexibility and technique on pointe.
