Competition Clogging Teams
Offered by Ground Control Studio →Ground Control runs several competitive clogging and power tap teams by level, from Vibez (beginner) and Pulse (intermediate) to Cosmic Girlz (intermediate/advanced, all girls), Prodigy (advanced), Legacy (championship) and Kryptonix (pro). Team dancers learn two to seven dances plus solos and compete through the season; Vibez attends two to four competitions. Upper teams practice twice a week, and Eklipse Pro Power Tap and Kryptonix are by invitation. Gear includes white clogging shoes, a Ground Control tee and crewneck, and black rehearsal shorts.

Teams practice Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings, between 4:30 and 8:45 PM depending on the team.
Cost
The studio's price list shows Basic Team (1 hour) at $75 a month, Performance Team (2 hours) at $95 a month and Kryptonix Pro Team (2.5 hours) at $105 a month. Costume fees start at $50 to $100 in September, with more charged once final costume costs are known.

Other classes at Ground Control Studio
Level I Clogging (Ages 4-6)
A beginning clogging class for energetic little dancers who like to run around and tap their toes. Kids learn early dance motor skills, the basics of clog dancing, counting music and making percussive rhythms. The class runs September through May and includes one or two recital performances. Register online through the studio's class portal.
Level I Hip Hop (Ages 8-13)
A recreational hip hop class for kids who are new to hip hop or have only taken it for a year or two. It focuses on beginner moves and choreography, and dancers learn routines with the chance to perform. Dancers need to buy shoes specifically for this class. Register online through the studio's class portal.
Level II Clogging (Ages 7-9+)
The next step up in clogging for school-age dancers. Students learn or continue the basics of clog dancing while building balance, rhythm and team skills. The class runs September through May and includes two recital performances. Register online through the studio's class portal.
Musical Theatre (Ages 7-13)
Students learn to dance and sing to musicals and pop numbers. A professional singing coach teaches proper singing and reading music, and a national champion dancer teaches beginner-level choreography, with acting instruction along the way. Dancers need black jazz shoes for all classes and performances. Register online through the studio's class portal.
