Tiny Stars Dance (Ages 3-4)
Offered by Nielsen School of Dance →Tiny Stars is Nielsen School of Dance's 40-minute introductory class for 3 and 4 year olds. Children dance to a variety of music with props, sing along to basic tap and ballet songs, and work on motor skills, coordination, creative thinking and the social side of being in a class. The studio is at 235 3rd Ave E in Twin Falls.

The 2026-27 season began September 8, 2026. The studio's registration form lists two 40-minute classes for 3 and 4 year olds on Wednesdays: 3:55 to 4:35 PM (pre-ballet/creative) and 5:45 to 6:25 PM (pre-ballet/jazz). New students are accepted until classes fill or through October 2026.
Cost
$59 a month for a 40-minute class, plus a $30 annual registration fee ($10 for each additional sibling). Each dancer needs one $60 costume per type of dance taken, paid in full by December 15.

Other classes at Nielsen School of Dance
Jazz Dance
Jazz is taught throughout Nielsen School of Dance's combo classes, from the pre-ballet/jazz class for 3 and 4 year olds up to the lyrical/jazz and tap combo for grades 6 to 9. In the older classes, students work on classical and current jazz styles, building strength, flexibility, basic technique, proper alignment and musicality. In the school-age combos, jazz is paired with tap and either ballet or lyrical.
Lyrical / Contemporary Dance
Lyrical and contemporary dance at Nielsen School of Dance is part of the combo classes for older students, paired with jazz and tap. Lyrical is a fluid, continuous style in which students listen to the music and tell a story through their movement; in contemporary, they dance to contemporary music while improving their lines and technique.
Nielsen Summer Dance Camps (Ages 3–12)
Themed summer dance camps at Nielsen School of Dance in Twin Falls: a Princess Dance Camp (ages 3–6) and a Jazz Camp (ages 7–12), offered in three week-long sessions across late June and early July 2026.
Shooting Stars Dance (Ages 5-7)
Shooting Stars is a 55-minute class for ages 5 to 7 covering the primary steps of ballet, tap and jazz. It blends rhythm, movement, song, coordination and concentration, and teaches proper form gently. Classes are at the studio at 235 3rd Ave E, Twin Falls.
Stargazer Dance Co. (Ages 13+)
Teen dancers on the Stargazer Dance Co., Nielsen School of Dance's competition team, dance at the Juniors (ages 12 to 14) or Seniors (ages 12 to 18) level. The team, formed about thirty years ago, has been named Hoctor's national dance team champion five times. Members train twice a week plus select Saturdays, compete three to four times a year, attend one national convention and perform at local events. New members are placed through a clinic judging technique, personality and how quickly they learn routines.
Stargazer Dance Co. (Ages 6-8)
Pre Stars (ages 6 to 8) is the youngest level of the Stargazer Dance Co., Nielsen School of Dance's competition team; the next level, Starletes, covers ages 7 to 11. Dancers usually join at around 6 or 7. The studio recommends two years of tap, jazz and modern/ballet first, and new members attend a placement clinic that looks at technique, personality and how quickly they learn routines. A dancer without all three styles may need a preparatory year first.
Stargazer Dance Co. (Ages 9-13)
For ages 9 to 13, the Stargazer Dance Co., Nielsen School of Dance's competition team, has two levels: Starshooters/Starburst (ages 9 to 12) and Juniors (ages 12 to 14). Team members practice about 2 to 6 hours a week, in classes twice a week plus 1 to 3 hours on select Saturdays. They perform at area basketball games, the IDAA showcase and recitals, compete three to four times a year and attend one national convention. Placement is through a clinic.
Tap Dance
Tap at Nielsen School of Dance is taught inside combo classes that pair it with ballet, jazz or lyrical, starting with the early-grade combos and continuing through grades 6 to 9. Students work on the poise and style of Broadway tap while executing rhythm tap beats, and progressive exercises build skill and speed.
Twinkle Stars Dance (Ages 4-5)
Twinkle Stars is a 55-minute class for 4 and 5 year olds that introduces the basic steps of ballet, tap and jazz. Dancers learn to follow instructions and dance classroom etiquette, explore rhythm, and use props and imagery to build fine motor skills and creativity. Classes are at the studio at 235 3rd Ave E, Twin Falls.
