Outdoor day camp at 10 Boise parks (Cassia, Catalpa, Eagle Rock, Elm Grove, Ivywild, Jullion, Manitou, Phillippi, Sunset, Winstead). Activities include recreational games, arts and crafts, environmental education, hands-on science projects, swimming, and field trips. Running since the mid-1970s: 50th anniversary year.

Camp Mer-IDA-Moo Summer Day Camp
Camp Mer-IDA-Moo is the City of Meridian's week-long summer day camp for ages 6 to 11, held at Discovery Elementary and Siena Elementary. Families can sign up for a single week or the whole summer and pay only for the weeks they attend. Activities include recreational games, arts and crafts, sports, reading time and park visits, with a field trip or guest speaker depending on the week and, at some sites, a weekly swim at the Meridian Pool. A 5-year-old who has finished kindergarten can be registered by calling the Parks and Recreation office.

The Rec Center has five indoor pools (including a 53-foot waterslide and 88-degree recreation pool), an indoor track, and offers year-round American Red Cross swim lessons, WINGS Gymnastics, homeschool PE and swimming, Kids in Action summer day camp, Shooting Stars Youth Basketball League, baseball/softball/t-ball leagues, traveling playground programs, and preschool classes for ages 3–4.

Kids in Action Summer Day Camp
Kids in Action is Nampa Parks & Recreation's day camp at the Harward Recreation Center for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Campers take part in supervised, structured activities including new sports, games, nature activities, arts and crafts, rock climbing and swimming, and each summer week has a theme, such as Game On!, Nature Ninjas and Tropical Splash in 2026. Snacks are provided; on full days children bring a lunch or order one. Children must be toilet trained, no longer need a nap and be able to follow simple group rules. Pre-registration and payment are required.

Nonprofit children's theater company offering quality theater experiences for youth. Administration offices at Overland Park Shopping Center in Boise; education programs at Meridian Masonic Temple. TVCT company puts on plays and musicals appropriate for kids; sister company Treasure Valley YOUTH Theater offers a bi-annual signature youth troupe program with 10-12 weeks of theater arts training. The city describes its camps as geared mainly toward elementary-age children, with occasional options for older youth.

Days are filled with crafts, games and activities, and on Wednesday afternoon the group goes indoor climbing at Vertical View in Meridian. Spots are limited by the number of counselors, more may be added closer to December, and there is a waitlist when full.

Eagle Rec Explorer Day Trip: Discovery Park & Thunderstorm Ranch (Ages 7-12)
No-school-day field trip with Eagle Recreation staff: a ninja course at Discovery Park in south Meridian, a park lunch, and a farm visit with camels at Thunderstorm Ranch in Kuna. Limited to about 20 kids, split into ages 7-9 and 10-12.

Eagle Rec Explorer Trip: Snow Tubing & Ice Skating (Ages 7-12)
Winter-break day trip with Eagle Recreation staff, run separately for two age groups on days West Ada schools are out. Ages 7 to 9 (Monday) skate at Idaho IceWorld, then go snow tubing at Gateway Parks at Eagle Island State Park after lunch; ages 10 to 12 (Tuesday) go tubing first and skate in the afternoon. Each trip is limited to 20 kids and travels in passenger vans, so children who need a booster seat should bring one.
