Participants learn royal icing basics (outlining, flooding and simple details) while decorating three large Halloween-themed sugar cookies, and take them home in a bakery box. They also get recipes for the sugar cookies and royal icing. No experience is needed; bring an apron.

Irish Step Dancing (Ages 6-18)
Traditional Irish step dancing for ages 6 to 18 at Killarney Irish Dance Studio in Boise, offered through Boise School District Community Education. Students learn Irish dance footwork to lively music from Carly Allen, an award-winning Irish dance champion and experienced performer. The course is six one-hour Monday classes. Students wear shorts and socks or ballet shoes.
Kids Martial Arts: Tang Soo Do (Ages 7-12), Afternoon
The afternoon section of Kids Tang Soo Do at DragonFire Martial Arts for ages 7 to 12, offered through Boise School District Community Education and taught by Kamie Eisenbeis. It meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 4:45 PM. The course aims to build confidence and character, help students stand up to peer pressure and other intimidating situations, and develop physical conditioning. Wear comfortable workout clothes.

Square Dance Saturday (Ages 10+ with an Adult)
A two-day introduction to modern square dancing through Boise School District Community Education, open to ages 10 and up with an adult. Each class runs four hours with a break for a light potluck lunch, and bringing a dish is optional. Partners are welcome but not required, and the second class requires completing the first. Participants need to move freely without assistive devices. Afterward, students are invited to Thursday evening dances and encouraged to finish the course with a third and fourth class.
