Cost
$155 per week for Eagle residents and $165 per week for non-residents. Registration opens to Eagle residents on the first Monday of March and to non-residents the following Friday.

Acrylic Painting Workshop - Creation Art Studio (Ages 10+)
Three-hour Saturday painting workshop with Carrie Walker of Creation Art Studio, open to ages 10 and up at any experience level. The instructor walks participants step by step through painting a fall-themed piece. It meets in the Community Hall at Eagle City Hall (660 E Civic Lane) and takes up to 12 people.
Draw for Joy - Creation Art Studio (Ages 13+)
Drawing class for teens and adults, open to first-timers and to people returning to drawing, taught by Carrie Walker of Creation Art Studio at Eagle City Hall. It covers shading, perspective and contour drawing, applied to subjects each student chooses, from still life and nature to expressive sketching and imagined forms. The instructor gives each student individual guidance, and no experience is needed. Up to 12 students per monthly session.
Drawing Explorers - Creation Art Studio (Ages 5-12)
Drawing class for ages 5 to 12 taught by Carrie Walker of Creation Art Studio in the Valor Meeting Room at Eagle City Hall. Students work in pencil, pen, markers and oil pastels, trying a different medium each week and learning new techniques along the way. Classes run as monthly sessions of up to 12 students.
Eagle Rec Explorer Day Trip: Discovery Park & Thunderstorm Ranch (Ages 7-12)
No-school-day field trip with Eagle Recreation staff: a ninja course at Discovery Park in south Meridian, a park lunch, and a farm visit with camels at Thunderstorm Ranch in Kuna. Limited to about 20 kids, split into ages 7-9 and 10-12.
Eagle Rec Explorer Trip: Snow Tubing & Ice Skating (Ages 7-12)
Winter-break day trip with Eagle Recreation staff, run separately for two age groups on days West Ada schools are out. Ages 7 to 9 (Monday) skate at Idaho IceWorld, then go snow tubing at Gateway Parks at Eagle Island State Park after lunch; ages 10 to 12 (Tuesday) go tubing first and skate in the afternoon. Each trip is limited to 20 kids and travels in passenger vans, so children who need a booster seat should bring one.
Eagle Rec Thanksgiving Break Day Camp (Ages 5-11)
Three-day Eagle Recreation camp over the Thanksgiving school break for children in kindergarten through 5th grade, held at Eagle Academy High School. Days are filled with crafts, games and activities, and Wednesday includes a field trip to Urban Air. Spots are limited by the number of counselors, with a waitlist when full, and Eagle residents get priority registration.
Eagle Rec Winter Break Day Camp (Ages 5-11)
Four-day Eagle Recreation camp in the week between Christmas and New Year for children in kindergarten through 5th grade, held at Eagle Academy High School. Days are filled with crafts, games and activities, and on Wednesday afternoon the group goes indoor climbing at Vertical View in Meridian. Spots are limited by the number of counselors, more may be added closer to December, and there is a waitlist when full.
Eagle Youth Boys Basketball League
Eagle Youth Girls Basketball League (Grades 1-4)
Recreational girls basketball league run by Eagle Parks and Recreation for grades 1-4. First and second grade play 3v3, third and fourth play 5v5. Games are weeknights at Eagle-area schools; practices are once a week on a weeknight. Coaches are volunteer parents.
Eagle Youth Soccer League
The City of Eagle's recreational youth soccer league, with separate boys' and girls' divisions. Each team has a volunteer coach and practices one evening a week, usually Monday to Wednesday, for 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Games are played at Merrill Park or Guerber Park, and the oldest division plays Saturdays with travel to nearby communities. Shin guards are required for every player, and cleats for all but the youngest division.
ENKIDS Creative Makers (Ages 7-17)
Mixed-media art and craft class run through Eagle Parks and Recreation. Students work across drawing, crochet, knitting, mosaics, felting and seasonal crafts, building technique and confidence across a four-week session. Runs as repeating four-week sessions through the school year.
ENKIDS Culinary Studio (Ages 11+)
Themed cooking class for ages 11 and up through Eagle Parks and Recreation. Participants prepare two recipes per session while learning cooking technique, kitchen safety and presentation. Open to teens and adults together.
ENKIDS Kids Cooking Adventures (Ages 7-10)
Hands-on cooking and baking class for ages 7-10 through Eagle Parks and Recreation. Each themed session covers two recipes plus kitchen safety, measuring, mixing and teamwork. Students take home the recipes and samples.
ENKIDS STEM + Art Start (Ages 3-6, with guardian)
Parent-and-child STEM and art class through Eagle Parks and Recreation for ages 3-6. Combines simple science experiments, engineering activities, sensory exploration and art projects. Guardians participate alongside their child throughout.
ENKIDS STEM Explorers Lab (Ages 7-12)
Hands-on STEM lab for ages 7 to 12, taught by Ying Williams through Eagle Parks and Recreation. Each session has its own theme, so kids can sign up for several in a row without repeating projects: chemical reactions and fizzing experiments, holiday circuits and lights, gears, levers and simple machines, and a Mars space-science unit. Classes take 4 to 12 students.
ENKIDS Winter WonderLAB Camp (Ages 6-12) - Eagle
Winter-break STEAM half-day camps: science experiments, art projects, crafts and winter-themed games. Each of the six sessions has different activities; kids attending morning and afternoon get a supervised lunch hour.
Horse Lovers Club: Intro to Horsemanship (Ages 6-12)
Unmounted introduction to horses for ages 6 to 12: kids learn about horses, equine care and the basics of horsemanship without riding. The class is designed for both beginner riders and children who simply love horses. It meets for five weeks at the Eagle Senior Center with instructor Kim Hoagland and takes 5 to 15 students. Each child receives a rosette ribbon and a certificate of completion at the end.
Little Medical School (Ages 5-12)
Kids ages 5 to 12 play doctor with real instruments, including stethoscopes, blood pressure monitors and reflex hammers. Over six weekly classes they learn about body systems and how they work, practice giving a patient check-up and take part in a mock surgery. It is a National STEM Accredited Program, taught by Karla Thoegersen at the Eagle Senior Center (312 E. State Street), with 7 to 15 students.
Little Pallets Family Culinary Class (Ages 4+)
Do-It-Together cooking workshop through Eagle Parks and Recreation where children and adults attend together and each make their own dish. Every participant registers individually.
Little Pallets Homeschool Culinary Class (Ages 5-11)
Daytime cooking class for kids ages 5 to 11, scheduled for homeschool families, in the City Hall community kitchen with instructor Crystal Paulson. Students learn basic cooking techniques, how to use kitchen tools safely and how to keep their station clean, make two dishes per session and eat a sample in class. Recipes use dairy, grain, nuts, eggs, meat and spices. All supplies and ingredients are included, recipes are emailed afterwards, and classes take 4 to 10 students.
Little Rookies Baseball (Ages 3-8) - Eagle
Non-competitive youth baseball with Coach Drew at the Stephen C. Guerber Park baseball field (2200 Hill Road), in two groups: ages 3 to 4, then ages 5 to 8. Players learn hitting, throwing, catching and agility along with other fundamentals, and the program aims to build athletic and gross motor skills. Each group takes up to 15 players.
Little Vet School (Ages 5-12) - Eagle
Students take the role of a veterinarian, adopting a plush dog and learning about body systems, exams, tick removal and suturing. On the final day, Go Team Therapy dogs visit so students can practise on real dogs. A National STEM Accredited Program offered through Eagle Parks and Recreation.
Olympic Fencing: Intro & Beginning (Ages 7-13) - Eagle
Introductory Olympic fencing for kids new to the sport or wanting a refresher, taught by Coach Alina, a former NCAA and national-level fencer. Through games, drills and bouting, students learn fencing movement and strategy and how to conduct a proper Olympic bout, using plastic practice gear. Kids wear athletic clothes and sneakers. Open fencing after class is included in the price, and a 6-year-old may attend with an older sibling in the age range.
Open Fencing (Ages 7-13) - Eagle
Supervised open practice for kids who have completed Eagle Recreation's Introduction to Olympic Fencing or another beginning fencing class. Fencers bout against new and returning students using plastic practice foils and padded vests, while Coach Alina helps individuals and referees. The first 30 minutes overlap the end of the beginner class. Kids wear athletic clothes and sneakers; long pants and a water bottle are encouraged.
Skyhawks BaseballTots Hitters & Homers (Ages 3.5-5) - Eagle
Skyhawks BaseballTots Hitters and Homers, the indoor class for ages 3 and a half to 5 that follows the parent-and-child Batters class on the same Mondays. It teaches throwing, catching, hitting and running control while working on fine and gross motor skills and body control. Parent participation is required only in the younger Batters group. It meets in the Community Hall at Eagle City Hall, with 6 to 18 children.
Skyhawks BaseballTots Parent Bonding (Ages 2-3.5) - Eagle
Skyhawks BaseballTots Batters, an indoor class for ages 2 to 3 and a half in which a parent takes part. It works on fine and gross motor skills and body control while teaching baseball basics: throwing, catching, hitting and running. It meets in the Community Hall at Eagle City Hall, with 6 to 18 children, and is followed by the Hitters and Homers class for older preschoolers.
Skyhawks Basketball (Ages 6-8) - Eagle
Skyhawks basketball class for boys and girls ages 6 to 8, aimed at beginning to intermediate players. Using a progression-based curriculum, coaches teach passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through skill instruction and small-sided scrimmages, with an emphasis on sportsmanship and teamwork. It meets on the Ada Eagle Sports Complex basketball court, with 6 to 24 players.
Skyhawks Flag Football: Coed (Ages 6-13) - Eagle
Skyhawks Flag Football for boys and girls ages 6 to 13, taught with a curriculum developed by USA Football. Coaches teach passing, receiving, kicking and flag pulling. It meets on Field of Honor A at Reid W. Merrill Sr. Park, with 6 to 24 players.
Skyhawks Girls Basketball Skills Clinic (Ages 6-10) - Eagle
Two-hour Skyhawks clinic for girls ages 6 to 10 on shooting, ball handling and defense, held ahead of the youth basketball season. It is open to both rec and club players who want to build and practice their skills before the season starts. Coach Levi Hewitt leads it on the Ada Eagle Sports Complex basketball court.
Skyhawks HoopsterTots Grasshoppers (Ages 3.5-5) - Eagle
Skyhawks HoopsterTots Grasshoppers, the indoor basketball class for ages 3 and a half to 5 that follows the parent-and-child Kangaroos class on the same Mondays. Children work on dribbling, shooting, passing and teamwork using right-sized hoops and balls; parent participation is required only in the younger Kangaroos group. It meets in the Community Hall at Eagle City Hall, with 6 to 14 children.

Skyhawks Indoor Pickleball (Ages 6-13) - Eagle
Skyhawks indoor pickleball class for kids, split into two age groups that meet back to back: ages 6 to 8, then ages 9 to 13. Players learn the fundamentals of the sport along with sportsmanship and respect. The class moves indoors for late fall, to the Community Hall at Eagle City Hall, with 6 to 18 players per group.

Skyhawks Mini-Hawk camp for ages 4 to 6 on the two days West Ada schools are out in October. Children rotate through soccer, flag football and baseball in a structured setting that works on balance, coordination, sportsmanship and teamwork. It runs on Field of Honor A at Reid W. Merrill Sr. Park with coaches Levi Hewitt and Danny Griffin, for 12 to 40 campers.
Skyhawks SoccerTots Grizzlies (Ages 3.5-5) - Eagle
Skyhawks SoccerTots for ages 3 and a half to 5, the first SoccerTots level where children take part without a parent's help. Games build on skills from the younger groups and add more core soccer skills and a light element of competition. In a class made up only of 3-year-olds, a caretaker joins for the first 3 or 4 classes. It meets at Field of Honor A in Reid W. Merrill Sr. Park, with 7 to 18 players.
Skyhawks SoccerTots Parent Bonding (Ages 18 mo-3) - Eagle
Skyhawks SoccerTots for toddlers, with a parent taking part on the field. Two groups run back to back: Teddies (18 months to 2 years) and Cubs (2 to 3 and a half), each working through weekly soccer-themed games and motor-skill challenges that build on each other. The instructor-to-student ratio is kept small, with 7 to 18 children per group, at Field of Honor A in Reid W. Merrill Sr. Park.
Skyhawks Thanksgiving Ultimate Sports Camp (Ages 4-13) - Eagle
Skyhawks Ultimate Sports half-day camp over the Thanksgiving school break for ages 4 to 13, split into two groups (4 to 7 and 8 to 13). Each afternoon mixes several games: kickball, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee and capture the flag. It meets on Field of Honor A at Reid W. Merrill Sr. Park, with 12 to 40 campers and coaches Danny Griffin and Levi Hewitt.

Students ages 5 to 12 learn how muscles and bones work and what causes sports injuries, then practice splinting, taping and reading X-rays, and perform a mock Tommy John surgery. It is a National STEM Accredited Program, taught by Karla Thoegersen over six Tuesday evenings at the Eagle Senior Center (312 E. State Street), with 7 to 15 students.
Teen Outdoor Recreation Skills (Ages 12-16) - Eagle
Three-week coed series for teens ages 12 to 16, run by EmpowHer Outdoors (instructor Kristina Schmid) at the Eagle Senior Center. Week 1 covers outdoor basics and Leave No Trace principles; week 2 covers hiking skills, including trail safety, gear, navigation basics and hike preparation; week 3 covers camping skills, including camp setup, organization and basic camp cooking. Classes take 4 to 20 teens.
Teen Wilderness Survival & First Aid Workshop (Ages 12-18) - Eagle
Two-hour coed workshop for teens ages 12 to 18, run by EmpowHer Outdoors (instructor Kristina Schmid) in the Community Hall at Eagle City Hall. Teens practice survival priorities, including shelter-building basics, water safety and staying warm and dry, and first aid topics such as wound care, bleeding control, recognizing hypothermia and heat illness, and when and how to call for help. The workshop uses interactive scenarios, simple gear demonstrations and team activities, with 4 to 12 participants.
Watercolor Painting - Creation Art Studio (Ages 13+)
Watercolor class for teens and adults taught by Carrie Walker of Creation Art Studio at Eagle City Hall, open to beginners and experienced painters. It covers color theory, blending and mark-making in watercolor, with some other mixed media added, and subjects range from loose florals and landscapes to abstract layers and textures. Each session mixes step-by-step demonstrations with open-ended experimenting. Up to 12 students; no experience needed.
