- Pay per class: Yes
Most of its kids' programs are single dated sessions booked and paid one at a time: Homeschool Kids and Homeschool Families are $12 per person for each monthly date, and Foothills Explorers camps are sold by the day or two-day block. Registration is required online, by phone at (208) 608-7680 or in person, and the Folk Art series is sold as a month-long series.

Foothills Explorers Camp (Ages 6-11)
Full-day outdoor camp at the Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center on school-break days - hiking, nature study and hands-on exploration in the Boise foothills.
Foothills Learning Center: Little Explorers (Ages 6-9)
Environmental education program for ages 6–9 focused on ecology + animals living in Foothills native habitats. Hands-on learning at the Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center.
Foothills Learning Center: Outdoor Preschool
Year-round outdoor preschool experiences for ages 3.5–5 led by Boise P&R environmental educators. Themed around the Foothills' sagebrush-steppe ecosystem + native plants + wildlife. Held in the heart of the Boise Foothills.
