About This Event
Living Voices, an educational theatre company, combines live performance with archival film to tell the story of Alice, a young Navajo woman who leaves the reservation for school and becomes a Navy nurse in World War II while her cousin serves as a Navajo Code Talker. The program covers government boarding schools and the Code Talkers, and a question-and-answer session follows. It is aimed at tweens, teens and adults and is free.
