Howard Preserve

A 36-acre public nature preserve along the Big Wood River at the west edge of Bellevue, with about 3 miles of river trails through cottonwood floodplain habitat (bald eagles, elk, deer, fox, trout, and many birds). Free public access from a dirt parking lot at the end of Martin Lane. A quiet spot for family nature walks, birdwatching, and riverside exploration. Co-stewarded by the City of Bellevue and the Wood River Land Trust.
