Youth Golf Lessons (Ages 5-17)
When: City of Boise Parks & Recreation youth golf instruction at Warm Springs and Quail Hollow golf courses. 60-minute lessons covering full-swing, stance, grip, short game, chipping and putting; all skill levels, clubs supplied. Three seasonal sessions: summer (registration opens early April), spring (early December), fall (early August). Summer meets Tue–Fri.

Youth golf clinics from Nampa Parks & Recreation in two tiers. SNAG, for ages 4-7, is an entry-level program with beginner-friendly equipment that covers full shots, pitching, chipping and putting. Junior Golf, for ages 8-17 of all abilities, is taught by a PGA professional, and clubs are provided if needed.

River Birch Golf Course

A public golf course in Star with an unusually developed junior program run on site by Katie Somers, PGA (KTEE Golf), winner of the 2025 Rocky Mountain Section PGA Youth Player Development Award. Junior offerings run year-round and cover ages 4 through 15, from half-hour Pee Wee clinics to a nine-month development program, plus private instruction. The course itself is open for family play, and PGA professionals Damian Short, Jon Albright and Matt Riviera also take individual lessons.
