Ridge to Rivers Trail System

The Boise Foothills trail network — over 210 miles of trails immediately above the city, free and open year-round for hiking, running and biking. The programme publishes a Family Friendly Hikes guide and an interactive map with a family-friendly filter, and grades its routes as roughly 85 easy, 84 intermediate and 30 difficult, so families can start on short flat trails and build up.
