Weekly fencing with Coach Sill Lyra, an Olympic coach at the 2004 Olympics in modern pentathlon. Students learn the principles, strategies and movement of epee fencing using Italian plastic replicas rather than competition equipment; roughly 90% of class is learning through bouting.

Camp Mer-IDA-Moo Summer Day Camp
Meridian Parks & Rec's flagship summer day camp at Discovery Elementary or Siena Elementary. Activities include arts and crafts, sports and games, field trips, and reading time.
Creative Makers Fall Camp (Ages 7-12)
Mixed-media art and craft camp covering drawing, crochet, knitting, mosaics, felting and seasonal crafts. Each session features different projects, so students may sign up for more than one.
Creativity for the Early Learners: STEM + ART (Ages 2-5 + Guardian)
Parent-child preschool class exploring the world through hands-on science and art activities. Child must be accompanied by an adult. Each session has its own theme.
Culinary for Kids! (Ages 5-11)
Cooking class teaching basic technique, kitchen-tool use and keeping a clean workspace. Students sample their creation in class. All supplies and ingredients included. Recipes include dairy, grain, eggs, meat and spices.
Culinary for Teens (Ages 12-17)
Small-group cooking class for teens covering basic technique, kitchen tools, reading a recipe and keeping a clean workspace, taught in small-group and individual format. All supplies and ingredients included. Recipes include dairy, grain, nuts, eggs, meat and spices.
Dazzle & Dance Camps (Ages 4-7)
Themed one-day dance camps introducing beginning ballet, jazz, creative movement and tumbling — a low-commitment alternative to a year-long program. Each camp has a new theme with different dances, songs and activities.
Fall Break STEAM Adventures (Ages 7-12)
Three-day STEAM camp at Meridian Homecourt with a new theme each day: RoboRiot! (build and test mini robots), Circuit Creators (circuits and electricity) and AstroAdventures (space science). Taught by ENKIDS staff.
Forensics for Kids (Ages 5-12)
Students take on the role of a CSI investigator: securing a "crime" scene, managing evidence, dusting and lifting fingerprints, and using facial recognition techniques to solve cases. A National/STEM accredited program.
HoopsterTots: Froggies (Ages 3-5)
The next step up from HoopsterTots Grasshoppers. Dribbling, shooting, passing and teamwork with right-sized hoops and balls in a joyful, encouraging class. Guide states ages 3.5-5.

HoopsterTots introduces dribbling, shooting, passing and teamwork with right-sized hoops and balls, building coordination and confidence in a joyful, encouraging class. Parent participation required. Guide states ages 2-3.5.
Jr./Sr. Cheer Camp (Ages 6+)
Cheer camp for ages 6 and up covering jumps, dance, stunting, tumbling and cheering with All Star certified coaches.
Jr./Sr. Hip Hop Camp (Ages 6-11)
One-day introduction to hip hop covering essential dance steps, isolations and proper hip hop technique in an upbeat environment.
Kendo: Introduction to Japanese Fencing (Ages 10+)
Beginning kendo class focused on basic footwork and sword handling plus the manners and etiquette of the art, in preparation for the advanced class. Each student receives a shinai (bamboo practice sword).
Kiln Fired Pottery: Hand Building (Ages 8+)
Hand-building pottery class taught by Little Pallets covering a variety of pottery techniques and tools. Uses kiln-fired clay, producing pieces that are outdoor-safe and food-safe. Cost includes all materials, kiln firing and glazing.
Kindermusik (Ages 0-4 + Guardian)
A parent-and-child music class using music-making to support learning and growth during the years most critical to brain development. Themes, songs, stories, movement props and instruments spark the imagination. Adults must attend with their child.
LEGO Engineering Adventures (Ages 7-9)
Young inventors build machines, solve engineering challenges and bring creations to life using LEGO bricks. Each week kids explore how things work while designing bridges, vehicles and moving machines.
LEGO EV3 Battle Bots (Ages 9-13)
Build it, code it, battle it. Students design and program their own LEGO EV3 Battle Bot, then enter the arena for robot battles and challenges, learning real robotics, engineering and coding skills along the way.
LEGO Invention Lab (Ages 9-14)
Kids become real-world problem solvers, designing, building, testing and improving their own LEGO inventions with no instructions. Students tackle engineering challenges using bricks, gears, wheels and moving parts while exploring simple machines and motion.
LEGO SPIKE Prime Bot Builders (Ages 9-13)
A hands-on winter-break robotics camp where young engineers design robots, learn real coding skills and test their creations in missions using LEGO SPIKE Prime — covering sensors, motors, problem-solving and teamwork.
LEGO WeDo 2.0 Robotics Camp (Ages 7-9)
Kids design, build and program LEGO creations that move, spin, race and react using real robotics technology. Each day brings a new hands-on challenge as campers work as inventors, engineers and problem-solvers.
Little Vet School (Ages 5-12)
Students step into a veterinarian’s role through role-play: they "adopt" a puppy, conduct a nose-to-tail examination and practice tick removal and suturing. On the final day Go Team Therapy Dogs visit so students can practice on real dogs. A National/STEM accredited program.
Martial Arts for All: Tang Soo Do Advanced (Ages 8+)
Advanced Tang Soo Do class extending the beginning curriculum with advanced techniques, forms, self-defense, sparring and weapons. For continuing students ranked 3rd gup or higher.
Martial Arts for All: Tang Soo Do Beginners (Ages 8+)
Traditions Martial Arts / Tang Soo Do beginning class in a traditional Korean martial art balancing hand and foot techniques. Covers basic techniques, forms, self-defense, sparring and weapons. Two classes per week.

Petite Cheer Camp (Ages 4-5)
Introductory cheer camp covering basic cheer fundamentals — jumps, dance, stunting, tumbling and cheering — with All Star certified coaches.
Pottery Wheel Workshop (Ages 12+)
A three-day pottery wheel workshop in which participants create their own pieces while learning to throw, balance and trim. On the third day students glaze their fired pieces. Kiln-fired clay, food-safe and outdoor-safe; all materials and firings included.
Science Explorers Lab by ENKIDS STEM (Ages 7-12)
Hands-on STEM class covering chemical reactions, engineering builds, physics challenges, circuits and inventions. Each session features different experiments and projects.
Skyhawks Baseball (Ages 6-13)
Teaches the fundamentals of baseball — fielding, throwing, hitting and base running. Positioned as the autumn development window before spring leagues, building a foundation for spring tryouts.
Skyhawks Basketball (Ages 6-13)
A skill-intensive program for beginning to intermediate players using a progression-based curriculum. Boys and girls learn passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through instruction and small-sided scrimmages.
Skyhawks Field Hockey Academy (Ages 7-12)
Introduction-level field hockey with specialty coaching. Players learn stick handling, passing, dribbling and shooting through age-appropriate progressions. The guide describes it as a unique offering in the Treasure Valley with no competing program at this age group.
Skyhawks Flag Football — Coed (Ages 6-13)
Teaches the fundamentals of passing, catching, route running and defensive positioning. The non-contact flag format is safer and more accessible while building football IQ, with skill-based games and scrimmages preparing athletes to join a league.

Flag football designed specifically for girls, teaching the fundamentals in a supportive all-female environment. Builds confidence, athleticism and teamwork, and is pitched as an introduction for girls curious about one of the fastest-growing sports.

Young athletes gain the technical skills and sport knowledge needed for their next step into soccer — dribbling, passing, shooting and ball control — alongside teamwork and sportsmanship. Split into 6-9 and 10-13 age groups at Gordon Harris Park.
Skyhawks Tennis (Ages 6-12)
Introduces players to forehand, backhand, serving and court positioning. Age-appropriate ball and racquet sizes ensure success at every level, with learning through games, drills and live point play.
Skyhawks Volleyball (Ages 6-13)
All aspects of volleyball taught through drills and exercises focused on bumping, setting, spiking, hitting and serving. Designed for beginner and intermediate players, with a stated focus on leadership and teamwork. All equipment provided.
Skyhawks Volleyball Indoor Academy (Ages 7-13)
Indoor volleyball academy at Meridian Homecourt for athletes who want to play year-round. The indoor format allows focused instruction in bumping, setting, serving and spiking through skill-based games in a confidence-building environment.

A two-morning winter-break volleyball camp covering bumping, setting, spiking, hitting and serving for beginner and intermediate players, with all equipment provided.

New for Fall 2026. A weekday-morning indoor SoccerTots class for the youngest toddlers, taken alongside a caregiver. Through ball play, music, movement and gentle games, toddlers build balance, coordination and confidence. Guide states ages 1.5-2.
STEM & Art Start (Ages 3-6 + Guardian)
Parent-and-child class combining simple science experiments, engineering activities, sensory exploration and art projects. Guardians participate alongside their child. Each four-week session features different projects.
Teen Coed Wilderness Survival & First Aid Workshop (Ages 13-18)
A fast-paced workshop equipping teens with wilderness survival techniques and first aid skills — survival priorities, shelter building, water safety, staying warm and dry, wound care, bleeding control, stabilising injuries, and recognising hypothermia and heat illness.
Thanksgiving Break Multi-Sport Camp (Ages 4-10)
A three-morning Mini-Hawk multi-sport camp over Thanksgiving week, introducing soccer, basketball, baseball and more through age-appropriate games. Campers are split by age and skill level.
Tumbling Skills Camp: Backbends (Ages 6+)
Beginner tumbling clinic teaching students to push up into a backbend from the ground and build toward a standing backbend, with back flexibility and strengthening work.
Tumbling Skills Camp: Cartwheels (Ages 6+)
Beginner tumbling clinic for kids who have never done a cartwheel through those refining cartwheels on both sides. Focus on hip placement, control and cartwheel progression at each student’s level.
Winter Break Art Camp (Ages 5-11)
Three-day art camp working across pottery, watercolour and acrylic, learning how to use each material through hands-on projects. All supplies included. 20% discount for students enrolled in both this camp and the Winter Break Culinary Camp.
Winter Break Culinary Camp (Ages 5-11)
Three-day compressed cooking camp where students create a full dish each day, learning ingredients, tools and presentation, and taste their dishes daily. Recipes emailed after camp. Recipes may include meat, nuts, eggs, dairy and spice.
Youth Coed Wilderness Survival & First Aid Workshop (Ages 8-12)
