Petite Cheer Camp (Ages 4-5)
A 45-minute introductory cheer camp for ages 4 and 5 at Motions Dance Studio, 440 W. Pennwood St., Suite 140, Meridian, led by Brandy Renz. It is for children who want to try cheerleading and covers basic cheer fundamentals: jumps, dance, stunting, tumbling and cheering, with All Star certified coaches. Wear cheer attire or form-fitting, stretchy athletic clothing, with hair pulled back. Class size is 4 to 15.

Ages 4–5
Jr./Sr. Cheer Camp (Ages 6+)
A one-hour cheer camp for ages 6 and up at Motions Dance Studio, held right after the Petite Cheer Camp for younger children. Led by Brandy Renz with All Star certified coaches, it covers cheer fundamentals for anyone who wants to try cheerleading: jumps, dance, stunting, tumbling and cheering. Dynamic Cheer Squad: Minis (Ages 4-7)
Dynamic Cheer Squad is Caldwell Recreation's recreational cheer program, led by coach and educator Missy Langan. The Minis squad is for ages 4 to 7 and practices for one hour on Wednesday evenings. Cheerleaders learn cheer motions, jumps, chants, stunts and dance routines, and the squad performs at local events such as city parades and cheer showcases. Registration commits the cheerleader to the full three-month session, and a uniform (T-shirt and hair accessory) is required.
When: Wednesday 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Dynamic Cheer Squad is Caldwell Recreation's recreational cheer program, led by coach and educator Missy Langan. The Juniors squad is for ages 8 to 12 and practices for 80 minutes on Wednesday evenings, in a larger group than the Minis. Cheerleaders learn cheer motions, jumps, chants, stunts and dance routines, and the squad performs at local events such as city parades and cheer showcases. Mini Cheer (Fall 2026)
An introduction to cheerleading for PreK and kindergarten students, run by Star Recreation alongside its fall NFL Flag football league. Children learn basic cheer motions and simple routines, with the program focused on listening skills, teamwork and fun in a low-pressure setting. Teams perform halftime routines only, with no sideline cheering. Placement is based on current school enrollment and readiness.
When: PreK & Kindergarten cheer (birth years 2020–2022), Aug 17–Oct 23, 2026. Practices Mondays; halftime performances at Tue/Thu flag-football games. Registration June 1–July 9.

Sideline Cheer (Fall 2026)
Star Recreation's co-ed recreational cheer program, in which kids cheer on the sidelines at the city's NFL Flag football games. Cheerleaders practice on Mondays and cheer at the Tuesday and Thursday games, with JV and varsity squads; varsity placement depends on skill level. The uniform is the same as last season's, so returning cheerleaders can reuse theirs if it still fits.
When: Co-ed recreational cheer for Star's NFL Flag games, Aug 17–Oct 23, 2026. Practices Mondays 5:30 & 6:30 PM; cheers at Tue/Thu games. Possible varsity tier by skill level. Registration June 1–July 9.

Cheer (Ages 3-6)
Introductory cheer for ages 3 to 6, taught by Hadlie Abbott on Tuesday afternoons. The 45-minute class starts with a warm-up and stretch, moves to jumps and technique, then learns routines that mix cheers, jumps and dance, adding pyramids and stunts as students are ready. The class learns four routines over the year and performs at the December and May recitals. Students wear a fitted T-shirt that stays tucked in, leggings or fitted shorts, and cheer shoes.

Cheer (Ages 7 & Up)
Cheer for ages 7 and up, taught on Tuesdays by studio owner Becky Abbott, who cheered through junior high and high school and was a four-year team captain. Each 45-minute class covers a warm-up and stretch, jumps and technique, then routines with cheers, jumps, pyramids and stunting as students are ready. Students learn four routines over the season for the December winter recital and May spring recital.
