It is open to first-time builders as well as kids with robotics experience. Class size is 9 to 18.

LEGO Invention Lab (Ages 9-14)
A three-afternoon Thanksgiving-week LEGO camp for ages 9 to 14 at the Meridian Community Center, taught by J. Stafford. Kids design, build, test and improve their own LEGO inventions without instructions, taking on engineering challenges with bricks, gears, wheels and moving parts. They explore simple machines and motion, and a design that fails is treated as something to rebuild better. Class size is 10 to 16.

Boise Parks and Recreation's flagship community center near downtown, housing the 4,500 sq ft Fort Boise Art Center (three studio spaces, 200+ classes a year for ages 2Β½ through adult), two dance studios, a gymnasium, a fitness centre with weights and cardio equipment, locker rooms, and the Teen Activity Center. The Teen Activity Center is a free after-school drop-in space for 7th–12th graders with a game room, computer lab and console gaming; supervised teen open gym is also free. Scholarships are available for youth and for adults with disabilities.
